Beautiful Minnesota

10 Dec

image

Despite how much this looks like a summer photo, this was taken not long ago. Minnesota: before the snow, still freezing, still beautiful. You can’t tell me you wouldn’t like to pull up a chair by a cozy fire and take in this view. Okay, maybe you can. But I don’t know why you would.

I’ve been trying to take more walks, mainly for health purposes, but also to just get out of the house. Of course I bring a camera. So be prepared for a ton of pics.

I grew up in the wilderness of NH and VT, which are very much like MN… hard woods and lots of open water, with hot sticky summers, or cold wet winters. Med school mmm, always feeling rushed mmm… you’re a country girl, your pictures depict someone who embraces the stillness and simplicity of life. Yet here you are in med school, one of the most cramped and fast-paced professions in the country. Why med school?

Hah, that is a fantastic question, mister. Quite honestly, it’s because this is where life has lead me. As much as I love my still, simple life, I naturally fill it to be crammed full (with or without med school). I guess I can find my own stillness in a fast-paced environment. 🙂

Blessings be long that path you follow… it’s a challenging profession, and I’m glad to know you find passion in it.

I visited Grand Marais, MN last October and took some gorgeous sunrise photos! I love the whole North Shore area!
