A Memory of Winter

27 Feb

The edits on these came out faster than I expected. Primarily due to being very bored in class on Friday… I mean, no, I pay absolute and utmost attention in class 100% of the time!

I can’t decide which ones I like better, the originals or the edits. Thoughts?

I like them all. Editing is just a reflection of your mood at the time your doing them. Sometimes you may get really crazy with an edit because that’s how your feeling. You’ll look at it later and wonder “what the hell was I thinking”. It’s all good, keep it up.

How true is that? Its the best and worst part of art, all in the same beast. Thanks for the encouragement, sir. 🙂

Excellent point… And I’ve certainly done that before, too.

Personally, I prefer the edits in this case. (One could argue it’s the eternal optimist in me that would usually lean towards a warmer photo than a colder one – even if it is of snow!)

I wish I was more the optimist myself. I sometimes get carried away to the dark side forcing me into a sepia colored life. More color is good for me.

I’m glad I posted the edits, then. I am still working on this whole editing thing- making sure I don’t do too much to the picture to lose the original feel, but changing it enough to give it a completely different view of the same world. I’m so happy to hear feedback from both sides!
